I love to travel
In June 2000, I got married to my wonderful husband Jakim. For the first two years of our marriage we lived & worked in Jacksonville, North Carolina. At that time Jakim was finishing his Bachelor’s Degree with Campbell University (at the satellite campus at Camp LeJeune) and working as the assistant system administrator at Coastal Carolina Community College. I was switching degrees at Coastal and working as the night receptionist for the Admission’s Office. We met thanks to a Financial Aid Officer who had a Christian Singles Group that met at his house on Friday nights.
In 2001, I signed on to become an Independent Kitchen Consultant with The Pampered Chef®. I graduated a year later with an Associate Degree in Medical Transcription. I have yet to use it.
We moved June 2002 to Wilmington, North Carolina when Jakim took at job with Cape Fear Community College. In February 2003 we learned that I was pregnant. On October 9th, 2003 at 11:54 p.m. our little girl Morganne DeMala arrived.
I am a stay-at home mom and love being able to watch Morganne grow & explore. She amazes me daily.
In 2006 we had our second daughter, Chloe Elizabeth, on September 2, at 2:21 AM.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading Christian fiction books, cooking, and playing board & card games with my husband.
